To long to describe here. But my biggest problem with this article is that thee author seems to forget about the separation of church and state.
A very limited understanding of the constitution will illuminate the founding father’s intention where religion is concerned. Certainly the suggestion is not that religion and government should be intertwined, but rather that people should be entitled under this constitution to practice their religion without repercussion or interference. My understanding of this particular article is the suggestion that people need a code of ethics in order to live in a true republic, and that generally people who hold religious values posses such a code. I am always more than a bit puzzled by those who jump on the Christian bashing bandwagon… Please consider the following, and try to keep it in mind.

In Germany they first came for the Communists,
    and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews,
    and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
    and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me —
and by that time no one was left to speak up. -Pastor Martin Niemöller

I find it more than a bit interesting how you assume that “brainless” and “Christian” are synonymous, while you yourself are apparently unaware that too (as in abundant) is in fact spelled with a double o! Go figure… Idiot indeed!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to comment and remove all doubt!

I for one would be very unsatisfied if Apple only did a lame exchange program. Even if they exchanged my crappy iPhone 4 for a non crappy version, I would still want something else for my trouble. I've been fighting this damn thing for weeks now. Suck it Apple!

I already returned my iPhone 4. People who are complaining about their iPhone 4 but fail to return it are dumb. Why keep something that doesn't work as expected. Idiots.

the iphone 4 sucks big time. I won't be happy until Apple gives me a free iphone that can cook my dinner, clean my house, wipe my ***, change my kid's diapers, and go to work for me and get a promotion. Anyone who is happy with anything less is just another Apple fanboy.

**** you! The only reason Lindsay has to go to jail is because she is famous. If it would have been u or me, we would have got off. Leave the poor girl alone. F U!
I doubt that you would have been sentenced less. A violation is a violation. And judging from your attitude, the judge would not like you.

Thanks, this is a great article.

Would I be able to go to an AT&T store and ask them to turn voice over on? Or do I need to set it up myself with my Mac at home?

I would like to test it out to see if it can work for me, which brings me to ask if there is a page or chart of some sort that lists all the gestures? You mentioned a few of them and I found a youtube video with some other gestures/commands. That way if I can test it out at the store, it will be more beneficial for me.
You do not need a computer to activate VoiceOver and the other accessibility features on the iPhone. On the iPhone, navigate to Settings > General > Accessibility.

I'm not sure if an AT&T store will allow you to test it out. You could always call, explain your situation, and see if they let you. Or, you could go to any store which sells iPod touches. The accessibility features of the iPhone are the same as the iPod touch. You may have more luck being able to try an iPod touch than you would an iPhone.

Here is a link to Apple's user guide for the iPhone and ipod's touch's accessibility features:

Ok sorry for the kind of unecessary questions about facebook.. I understand it isn't easy with voice over, but would it be alright if someone who is able to see, show me what buttons and such that I'm on.. if I remembered everything, would that make it possible to use it?
Don't worry about asking too many questions. The ability to post comments here is here for a reason

Yes, I think that with a sighted-person's help, you may be able to navigate Facebook.com with the iPhone, and possibly navigate the Facebook application. You may want to go to a store which sells the iPhone and see if you could play around with it a bit to see if you could navigate Facebook.com with the help of a sighted person.

Thanks for visiting the site. Glad to hear you liked the article.

I just tried the Facebook app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It's not very VoiceOver friendly. Often times, it skips links, buttons, and text fields, and when it does navigate to buttons VoiceOver only says "button," so you have know idea what button it is by listening to VoiceOVer. Navigating to Facebook.com in the iPhone's web browser has a little better accessibility support, but some items aren't labeled very well. If you have a little vision, you may be able to utilize VoiceOver with FaceBook in conjunction with the zooming features of the iPhone.

If you want the FaceBook app to work better with VoiceOver, I suggest you contact Facebook and request support for VoiceOver. I'm sure you are not the only person who would love an accessibility friendly Facebook app.
Thanks for letting me know. Facebook was the one thing I was looking forward to with the iPhone .. It's sad that brings my excitement down lol Now I'm not sure if it would be anymore useful for me than simpler phones.

So you're saying it's too confusing to do things so it it's not a good idea? I also tried finding a place where I could put in a request for this on facebook, but I only found questions and answers from other users.

Except for those who actually needed to replace a crapped out phone, I think everyone who waited in lines for hours or days are pretty silly. What a bunch of dopes. No one cares if you have the latest iPhone version.

This is getting me so excited. I'm a 20 year old girl and I'm visually impaired after an accident. It's great to hear I'm able to use the iPhone. I'm planning on getting it soon, but I'm just wondering if the voice over will allow me to use facebook?

I personally wouldn't wait in line, especially when you can simply have it delivered, however, it's foolish to care what other people think. You have one life, so you're going to worry what other people think of your personal actions?

You have the right to stand in line for days and look like a fool.

I love gadgets and technology, but I have the self discipline to not care if someone has a more advanced piece of technology than I do. I have an iPhone 3G. It doesn't have a gyroscope, no front facing camera, it's slow, but I don't care. It does a great job of what I need it to. And I got to spend my day off in a cool, dry house reading a book.

As someone with a recently crapped out iphone, I sat in line yesterday for about 12 hours. It was awful, but I had to do it. It was maddening to see hundreds of people in front of me, on their perfectly good iphones, playing on their ipads, etc. Your list is a pretty good representation of why those people were in line. I kept asking, you couldn't wait a month till the demand was less? I mean, WTF? Unfortunately, I couldn't.
