• Why Do The DNC, GOP, and The Media Fear Sarah Palin?

It isn't often that the DNC, the GOP, and the media all have a common enemy, but they seem to have found one in Sarah Palin. The attacks against her from all sides are amusing, bemusing, validating, and frustrating. Although I really don't care about the 2012 election at this point, I have to admit the fixation on Sarah Palin is quite intriguing.

    The DNC

It's pretty obvious why the DNC fears Palin. When the 2012 campaign is well underway, President Obama will have over three years of executive experience under his belt with nothing to brag about but stomping all over The Constitution and playing tons of golf while the economy collapsed. Palin currently has over eight years of executive experience and has a history of attacking corruption. She is a threat to the progressive agenda, she has a respect for history, a respect for The Constitution, and has real solutions to bring the U.S. economy back from the pits of despair.

    The GOP

Gov. Palin is a threat to the GOP establishment, which is one aspect of Palin I love. I used to identify myself as a republican, but in recent years, I have come to the realization the republican party has been inundated by progressives and party hacks. I now identify myself as a conservative libertarian.

The republican party needs a shake-up and needs to get back to conservative and libertarian values. Republicans have cut taxes, but they have rarely cut spending. Several in the party are loyal only to the party itself, at the expense of truth and The Constitution. The GOP knows that Sarah Palin isn't going to take crap from party hacks, and will have no problem calling out corruption within her own party. All politicians should do this, but the party leaders fear it.

    The Media

When it comes to stories about Sarah Palin, truth doesn't seem to matter to the media. Once Sarah Palin was nominated for the VP candidate for the 2008 campaign, the media had the goal of destroying her. They did not seek out truth, but sought to only mock, attack her family, lay false charges and reports, and attempted to discredit her.

Although she was running on the ticket as a VP, the media compared her career to Barack Obama, pointing out her apparent lack of experience. If they were actually seeking out truth, they would have realized that Governor Palin had much more executive experience than Obama -- Obama had none, while Palin had served as both mayor and as governor.

If you have followed news reports about Sarah Palin during the last 3 years, you would think she has the power of political resurrection. How many times has it been reported that Sarah Palin's presidential chances are dead? Yet, the media keeps reporting on her. Never in my life have I witnessed apparent multiple political suicides by one person, only to have their political career come back to life. Lately, it seems like it occurs once or twice a week -- the media writes her off, declares her non-official campaign as being DOA, then later the media finds her to be back in the running.

All of this is, of course, the result of the media's allergy to Palin herself and to the real America. Palin doesn't fit the media's political mold. They can't see a candidate as being viable unless the person in question has been part of the establishment for years and heralds from inside the beltway. They don't understand Palin. They see are as a country bumpkin who has no idea how the government should function. In reality, the exact opposite is true. Palin is one of the few politicians who understands history and understands the role and limits of the federal government. But since the media is largely liberal and progressive, they will do anything to paint Palin as a joke and ignore her large fan base since it is populated by country folk.

The media is largely liberal, and they are complicit with progressive corruption and the DNC. Since Palin is a threat to progressivism, she is a threat to the media's agenda. Even though they have already dismissed her as a joke candidate, they are running full-steam ahead to attack her. Several emails, from when Palin served as Alaska's governor, are being released to the media. What exactly are they hoping to find? Without doubt, they will find scandal and corruption where there is none. Truth will once again be ignored, false charges will be laid, and the media will continue its onslaught.

Right. Palin has more experience than OBama. It's not like he is running a whole country and she only managed a dinky little poedunk town. Oh, wait . . .
And how has that been going for Obama? Pretty damn awful if you ask me and most other people. Sarah Palin did a dam good job as mayor and later as governor. Unlike President Obama, she understands how to help businesses.

I think the media has treated Gov. Palin and her family very terrible. SHe has done nothing to deserve the attacks she has been getting. Although I'm not sure if I could vote for her, I do like her and respect her. I almost want her to run and win, just to piss off the media.

I agree with those who think the treatment of Palin is disgusting. I'm not a huge Palin fan, but I am absolutely not a fan of treating anyone like the way the media has treated Palin. I think the most absurd thing the media has done to Palin was when they were blaming her for that shooting in AZ.

Palin is kind of scary in the way that narrow-mindedness and ignorance is scary. Sorry folks, but if you are a Republican and do not feel open mouthed terror every time Sarah Palin speaks, that makes you a moron. There are conservative libertarians out there who acquit themselves quite well, but Palin is an embarrassment. The media has got to love her because she makes good copy. The Democrats would like nothing better than to see here as the Republican nomination because there is no way she will win a national election. It is the Republican party that needs to fear Celebrity Circuit Sarah because her success would pretty much makes them the party of the lower 50% of the national IQ.

Well, let's see. There's ― of course in the great history of America there have been rulings that there's never going to be absolute consensus by every American, and there are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So, you know, going through the history of America, there would be others but ―" --Sarah Palin, unable to name a Supreme Court decision she disagreed with other than Roe vs. Wade, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008

Such a system is downright evil." –-Sarah Palin, in a message posted on Facebook about Obama's health care plan, Aug. 7, 2009

He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed." --Sarah Palin, botching the history of Paul Revere's midnight ride, June 3, 2011
Then there were the post election rumors from withing the McCain camp:

According to Fox News Chief Political Correspondent Carl Cameron, there was great concern within the McCain campaign that Palin lacked "a degree of knowledgeability necessary to be a running mate, a vice president, a heartbeat away from the presidency," in part because she didn't know which countries were in NAFTA, and she "didn't understand that Africa was a continent, rather than a series, a country just in itself."
Face it. Her problem is not her politics as much as her lack of intelligence.

But Geo W Bush got elected and he wasn't exactly bright. Also, Obama is always saying stupid things, talking about redistribution of wealth and other blatantly socialist messages. And let's not forget that he said on national TV that he was Muslim.

It's easy to make mistakes when you're under the pressure of an interview.

Obama is about as gaffe free as any president I've ever known. To me, he has been much more of a moderate than G.W. Bush ever was And I speak as a moderate Republican who feels betrayed by my own party. Socialist message? Said he was a Muslim? Disinformation beyond doubt. Your tone seems moderate, so I am fighting the urge to come down hard on you. But you can't just post this kind of disinformation without backing it up. Give me a link and I might listen. And Fox New doesn't count!

Obama definitely has socialist leanings. Many of his policies are socialist in nature http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoqI5PSRcXM "When you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody"

Muslim? I don't think he is, but he did slip. some people think this is an admission http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQqIpdBOg6I

When he is off prompter he is awful.

He once said he had visited 57 states and only had one to go before he had visited them all.

He once referred to a U.S. Navy Corpsman as a Navy Corpse-man

He once said that a breathalyzer is what asthma suffers use to get relief.

He stutters, pauses, and fills his words with uh's when he is off prompter.

He once referred to Vice President Biden as the president.

He gave region 1 DVDs to PM brown, who can only watch Region 2 DVDs.

If you are honestly seeking truth you can find it. I'm not going to post a bunch of links to places that you will likely dismiss as being biased. If you really want to know if he really said those things, you can find the clips yourself.

Every person who frequently speaks publicly will have gaffs. That is why you need to pay closer attention to their over all record and what their actions are. I could go on about Obama's record and his disrespect for The Constitution, but this article is about Palin.

Yes, all public speakers, especially presidential candidates out on a campaign are prone to gaffes. But does the press give more UNDUE attention to Sarah Palin's than to other candidates? No. We are not talking about a few slips of the tongue here, but the woman parades an ignorance that crosses party bounds pretty much every time she opens her mouth. This is an impression that crosses party boundaries. As I keep saying, I am a lifetime Republican who voted for Obama because Palin's total lack of qualifications for the office of vice president scared the bejeebies out of me.

Sorry, but it was kind of nutty for you to claim that Obama "said (sounded like admitted) on national TV that he was Muslim." The video makes it abundantly clear that he was speaking of those (the right wing nut jobs) who were ACCUSING him of being a Muslim. As for the 2nd video, socialist? Nary a whisper of socialism that I heard. If there was, it was kind of like a whisper of the wind moving through the trees, that only a firm believer in ghosts would take as proof of their existence.

Sorry, but Palin is not the smart person's candidate, Republican or Democrat.

On the eve of the first US presidential debate, a host of Nobel Prize winners in the sciences signed an open letter to “urge” the nation to vote for the Democratic nominee, Barack Obama.
Sixty-one US Nobel laureates, including 22 who won the prize for physics, made the stand yesterday after Obama and his running mate, Joe Biden, published an 11-page policy document entitled, “Investing in America’s future: Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s plan for science and innovation”. The plan builds on aspects of Obama’s science policies that he drafted at the end of last month in response to 14 questions posed by the organization ScienceDebate 2008.
The letter signed by the laureates reads: “The country urgently needs a visionary leader who can ensure the future of our traditional strengths in science and technology and who can harness those strengths to address many of our greatest problems: energy, disease, climate change, security, and economic competitiveness.
Voting for Obama is a no-brainer Phil Anderson, Princeton University
“We are convinced that Senator Barack Obama is such a leader, and we urge you to join us in supporting him.”
Phil Anderson, who shared the 1977 Nobel Prize for Physics and who was one of the signatories, told physicsworld.com that voting for Obama in November would be a “no-brainer”. Referring to why he would not choose John McCain, the Republican nominee, he added: “There are too many obvious reasons to pick one. Let me name three. 1. Torture; 2. Tax cuts for the rich; 3. A [running mate, Sarah Palin] who believes in the Apocalypse and not in evolution.”
