Apple has officially sent out the invitations for its upcoming media event, which will occur on January 27th at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. The invitation hints at new product announcements with the tag line, "Come see our latest creation."

This has of course led to widespread speculation that the much-rumored Apple tablet will finally be released. Sources are claiming this has been confirmed, and also claim that Apple will release a new version of its iLife suite and iPhone software version 4.0.

If the iLife rumors are true, it's quite likely that the new version will include support for multitouch and be made for use on the new tablet and possibly even the iPhone platform. the art-heavy background of the invitation has also led to some speculation that there could be a new application included in the iLife suite, possibly for photo editing.
