Newt Gingrich Says Obama Only Has a 20% Chance Of Being Re-Elected
Article Link
In a Politico interview, Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of The House, said that President Obama is "the closest thing to Jimmy Carter" he's seen, and gave the President a 20% chance of being re-elected in 2012.
Speaking of the leaders in Washington, Gingrich said, "They completely misunderstand the economy, they completely misunderstand the core nature of the American people." Gingrich also admitted that now, there is "more of a possibility" that he (Gingrich) will run for the office of president in 2012.
Speaking of the upcoming elections later this year, Mr. Gingrich predicted that republicans will pick up enough seats in The House to gain control and that there is a chance that republicans may gain control of The Senate.

Re: Newt Gingrich Says Obama Only Has a 20% Chance Of Being Re-Elected
I am definitely not a member of the "Newt for President" campaign, but I do agree with him when he says that President Obama is the worst since Jimmy Carter. I also fully agree with his statement about Washington D.C. not understanding the economy or understanding Americans.
As far as the upcoming elections go, I'm not as optimistic as Newt. Plus, I don't really care if the republicans took back control of the House or the senate. There is an overall culture of dishonesty and dishonor on both sides of the aisle. I'm hopeful that republicans will get their act together and give us some people to vote fore, but I'm not terribly optimistic about that. Parties corrupt, both republican and democrat.

Gingrich has way too much baggage to ever get nominated for president. but I do agree with his sediment that Obama and crew are completely out of whack.

Trying is all well and good. But it takes more than doing something to be a good leader. After all, Hitler did a lot of things too. I won't get into value judgments regarding what Obama is trying to do, but just doing something is not enough. In fact, many times in life the best option is to do nothing.

Isn't gingrich saying Obama won't get re-elected a lot like a Ford salesmen telling you Chevys suck?

There is no way in hell that Obama is going to be re-elected. He's awful.

I doubt the he will even be put up for re-election. I don't think he is the worst since Jimmy Carter. I think he is the worst since Bush Jr. I don't think the failing economy is all Obama's fault, but he has no one to blame about not doing anything about it.

Obama will not be re-elected. He is far too divisive now and the media is beginning to see he isn't the messiah they kinged him as.

I just hope the world is starting to see Obama as the socialist he is. I knew we were in trouble when he campaigned promising to lower taxes, pay off the deficit, and increase payouts. Anybody who has ever balanced their own checkbook and paid they're own bills knows that wont work. And now it shows.

Obama isn't a socialists you idiot, he's a progressive! If the republicans would just let him do his job, things wouldn't be as bad and people would see Obama for the person he is.

Re: Newt Gingrich Says Obama Only Has a 20% Chance Of Being Re-Elected
Socialism and progressivism are one in the same. And for two years, the democrats controlled the House senate. They could pass any bill or regulation they wanted. And the republicans in the current House aren't preventing Obama from doing his job. Have you actually looked at the constitution and what the duties are of the president? The president really shouldn't do much, but over the past century, thanks to progressives, the presidency has expanded beyond the limitations set in the constitution.
