Movies that make you think

I really like movies that make you think. A good comedy is fun once in awhile too, but here are some examples of movies I like:

Truman Show
Gattacca
The Matrix
The Visitor

I can't think of any others right now, but does anyone else have any recommendations for good movies that belong on that list? Are there any recent ones? I never go to the theater, so I don't really know what's out there right now.

Whatever anyone tells you, Lucky Number Slevin is not a movie that makes you think. I was told that it did, but it only tried to be smart, but wasn't.. I hated it.

Plan 9 From Outer Space really made me think. But probably not in the way you were talking about. After watching it, it made me think, "How could such a stupid movie ever be made? Were the studio bosses on crack? Did the actors know it would be stupid? I wonder what brand of fishing line was used to hold up the space ship?"

The new movie out The Experiment makes you think a lot, but only if you want to. The movie is a true story (not completely) about normal people thrown into a prison environment and divided into guards and prisoners. In real life, the guards did get violent and the experimenters purposely let them be violent a couple times and didn't do anything. They did this to see if the people would become more violent if they thought they were allowed to be. And they did become more violent.

well the movie "The Matrix" is really great movie and i watch it many times on cinema,s largest screen and the best thing of this movie is it has make on good subject and its story is very nice with fun

Silent house is a such movie that makes me think about this,.. Its really a horror movie that i like to watch it again
